Week 32.
This
is the
second week in this mini series of five (see Wk 31), Although all
five images will be bas-reliefs, I shall paint them with a thick acrylic
colour full of deep visible brush strokes. In this way I will try to
make these pieces paintings as well as sculptures.
I now have two note names to work with (again see Wk 31) C and G. I have tried to give this music a free improvisation
quality, as I did last week. It is great to work with just acoustic
double bass for a change, and this open, simple format makes the sound quality of the bass very clear.
I have tried to use an open, simple style for the music and art, and look for the basic and essential.
